Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
All students have access to a broad and balanced curriculum. Their curriculum is modified in terms of breadth of subjects offered and they offer a smaller range of subjects and more time devoted to English Maths and Science lessons. Class sizes range between 8 and 10 students, and classes are supported by a Teaching Assistant.

About the Role of Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will be communicating regularly with the SENCO to ensure the provision you deliver to SEN pupils is helping them achieve their academic and personal targets.Part of your Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant role will include absorbing a plethora of professional skills as you join the schools carefully designed CPD programme. Responsibility will be given to you to work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide them with extra support in the curriculum. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant you will be providing class support on an ad hoc basis, moving to where you are needed most.

We want to meet a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant who can create an enthusiastic atmosphere through their own excitement and passion for teaching and learning. Your Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant portfolio will include excellent communication skills that are able to be as effective within the classroom as well as the staff room. For this role you must be a creative, enthusiastic and experience Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant or particularly ambitious graduate who has practice working with SEN children and has the ability to positively counter any challenges you may face.
