Jobfinders Recruitment are very excited to recruit for an IT Support Engineer , 2nd Line, for a growing company who offer IT Support to a large network of clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide range of clients on diverse technical platforms, offering you the chance to build your current skill set and expand on those technical platforms that you may not have had exposure to. This position will give you the chance to work across a wide spectrum of IT Systems.

For this position, we are looking for a talented and forward thinking engineer with a diverse range of experience, preferably using both the newest technologies on the market as well as some of the older versions, with the ability to follow technical queries through to finish.

Duties

• Provide solid technical support in a 1st – 2nd line capacity


• Solving technical issues remotely, face to face and via telephone


• Dealing with issues promptly and efficiently within set SLAs


• Record customer calls and allocate appropriately


• If unable to deal with an issue, escalating this to the correct engineers


• Specifying/configuring/troubleshooting user issues in a changing Windows Desktop and Server environment


• Administrating Office 2003 onwards, Windows XP-10, Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange etc.

Requirements

• Experience administrating Office 2003 onwards, Windows XP-10, Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange etc.


• Previously offered remote and face to face support to end users


• Working knowledge of Backup Strategies, technologies, tape rotation and restore procedures


• Previously worked with firewalls and network infrastructure


• Able to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience


• Can-do attitude with an ability to prioritise


• Clear verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

• Networking knowledge of TCP/IP


• An understanding of MAC OS


• Understanding of basic server OS and application installation
