*** School Direct Biology Teacher – September 2016 start…INTERVIEWING NOW!!!
My client Head Teacher is looking to attract the very best Biology Graduates to work at their vibrant new Academy. The new School Direct Biology Teacher will be a Graduate who has always dreamt of teaching their subject. You will have strong communication skills and a real passion for your subject and you may have previous experience as a mentor or Teaching Assistant. For a School Direct Biology Teacher with 3 year’s experience, there may be a salaried post and for those who do not, you may be eligible for a bursary of up to £25,000 tax free dependent on the classification of your degree.
The new School Direct Biology Teacher will join a dynamic Science department who have worked tremendously hard to make the sciences the subjects of choice at the school. You will work alongside these inspirational, “outstanding” sciences teachers and learn the skills in delivery, differentiation, lesson planning, assessment and classroom control. Your teaching time will be limited to 25% of the timetable as you become familiar with your School Direct Biology Teacher role. This will be built up gradually over time as you grow into the role.
The role of School Direct Biology Teacher does not start until September, but for the right candidate, there may be the opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant in the Science department in the school or in its partner schools beforehand.
The Academy is a state funded all ability Academy for students aged 11 to 18. It serves the rural areas around Maidstone, Ashford and Tunbridge Wells. There are currently 560 students on roll and it is anticipated that this number will increase to over 800 within the next five years. It is a specialist Sports College and is one of the few schools left in the county which still has a working farm.
So, if you have an excellent academic record and you are looking for the ultimate opportunity to train as a School Direct Biology Teacher in Kent, then please send your CV to John at EduStaff today.
Please note: due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
