Person Specification for SEN Primary Teacher
You will need to be a resilient SEN Primary Teacher who has worked with SEN pupils before and or an experienced primary mainstream teacher who is willing and able to make the transition over to SEN teaching – applicants from Secondary who show the right qualities will also be considered. The school wants to meet SEN Primary Teacher applicants who have the presence and personality that inspires others around them to reach higher, work harder, and push further than before. As a SEN Primary Teacher you will provide the confidence and teaching skill to conduct yourself with authority and integrity in the classroom, providing an excellent role model for your pupils. You must show the ability to hit the ground running and bring your passion for teaching to the classroom.


About the Role of SEN Primary Teacher
As a SEN Primary Teacher your role will involve you teaching one of the classes within KS1 depending your own skills and experience and you will be utilising the in class Teaching Assistant. Your SEN Primary Teacher responsibilities will include expanding your horizons with the school’s CPD programme which aims to forward both professional and personal ambitions. The Headteacher is highly committed to the school and sees helping SEN Primary Teachers adjust to their new environment as the utmost importance.
