Summer Project for Qualified Math Teachers - Pearson - Kent, WA
We have an immediate opening on a Math project that will be taking place from Tuesday, July 5 – Friday, July 22, 2016.
Assessing for National Board is a great professional development opportunity, and an invaluable part of the National Board Certification process. Assessors score candidate responses to portfolio or assessment center exercises and are trained to look for evidence of a candidate’s practice through the lens of the National Board standards. As only practicing teachers or current NBCTs are selected to assess the submissions, we could not complete our work without the help of dedicated teacher participants.
To be eligible to serve as a member of the National Board scoring staff, you must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, possess a valid state teaching or school counseling license, and completed 3 years of full-time teaching or school counseling.
Regular work hours are 8:00 am-4:30 pm, Monday-Friday during the project schedule, and all new assessors are compensated at $18.75/hr. Projects take place at 6520 S 190th St, Kent, WA 98032 and will begin in July 2016
If interested in participating, please complete an application, located on our website;http://scorenbpts.pearson.com/
