About the Teaching Assistant role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant you will be assisting with general support throughout the school. Your duties will include aiding the class teacher by taking low or high ability children away from mainstream lessons for a while in booster groups and 1:1 sessions. This Primary Teaching Assistant position involves working closely with many different class teachers, gaining an overview of the different styles and approaches to teaching. As a Primary Teaching Assistant you will be helping to progress your career by working hard to display the talents and natural abilities that could earn you a School Direct placement at the end of the academic year.
