Maintenance Technician - Hawthorn Suites By Wyndham - Kent, WA

Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Kent/Seattle SeaTac Airport, is seeking an experienced and Maitenance Technician to join our Team!
We are searching for an experienced candidate that has a great positive attitude, outstanding technical skills, is team oriented, and can work independently in an efficient and timely manner. The candidate must be flexible with availability and have a “can-do” attitude. We are a 152 all-suite extended stay hotel located just under five miles from SeaTac Airport in Kent, WA. The property is situated in a resort like setting complete with outdoor pool, tennis court and fitness center sprawling over six acres. We feature large studio suites and two bedroom two bathroom split level townhomes equipped with full kitchens, living rooms, fireplaces, and private patios which cater to the needs of extended stay corporate and leisure business travelers.We are searching for the right partner who shares the same vision to help us achieve our goals.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.


• Perform preventive maintenance and necessary repairs and all hotel equipment, including kitchen, laundry, boiler, plumbing, HVAC, electrical and guest rooms.


• Perform all tasks associated within a Preventative Maintenance program.


• Make rounds of the hotel property to ensure everything is in working order.


• Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.


• Complete maintenance requests, take equipment and meter readings and maintain log to notify the next shift.


• Document all parts used and parts needed to be purchased.

Previous HVAC experience is not required but would be preferred.

• Ability to multitask and work under pressure


• Ability to think quickly while keeping the interest of both the hotel and the guest in mind


• Excellent guest service and team member management skills


• Proficiency in English both verbal and written


• Organizational skills must include follow ups, problem solving and great communication


• Favorable Driving Record (hotel shuttle van driving as needed)


• Ability to pass a criminal background check


• Reports to General Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
