Shipping Clerk - Rexam - Kent, WA

Rexam Beverage Can Company is looking for highly motivated individuals with mechanical ability and production line experience to join our high-speed manufacturing operations a Shipping Clerk in our Kent, WA facility. Our fast paced environment demands a team player with demonstrated ability to do the work, positive attitude, safety awareness and prior production line experience. Candidate must pass pre-employment hair sample drug screening and background information verification.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Picks up, loads, and delivers to designated areas, unloading, lifting, and stacking as necessary.
  


• Removes braces, strapping and/or protective materials from loads or shipments as required.
  


• Operates upender to upend skid loads of materials.
  


• Is familiar with storage, loading locations, and floor capacities.
  


• Is responsible for securing and delivering proper materials and other items as specified. Checks materials and other items for visible damage.
  


• Manually lifts, moves, stacks, and/or handles materials and other items.
  


• May be required to weigh materials and record weights.
  


• Checks and fills oil, water, batteries, propane tanks, etc. on industrial trucks (non-mechanical) and related equipment as required, referring mechanical difficulties to the supervisor. Conduct weekly PM’s and daily forklift inspections.
  


• Completes shipping documentation utilizing enterprise-wide systems. Generates Bill of Lading.
  


• Keeps work area and equipment clean.
  


• Observes all approved safety practices.

Job Requirements
KN OWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
  


• Previous forklift experience required.
  


• 1 year manufacturing experience preferred.
