SUMMARY: Responsible for commercial design and sale of Access Control, CCTV, Burglar, Intercom and Fire Systems.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. To perform this job successfully, the Small Business Security Consultant may be expected to perform some or all of the duties listed and complete special projects and other duties as assigned.


£ Takes leads from existing customer base and develops new customer base.


£ Responsible for a monthly sales quota.


£ Calls on customers.


£ Prepares bids.


£ Follows-up on outstanding bids.


£ Provides customer service (handling and resolving customer problems).


£ Pursues new business.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


£ None required.

£ Knowledge of and a proficiency in using Computer and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook), and Internet.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


£ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; push; pull or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.


£ The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


£ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration.


£ The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.


£ This job may involve working with 110-volt electricity and may involve working around 120-volt electricity.


£ Must be able to drive a motor vehicle while seated for extended periods, and be able to drive at night.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS


£ High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).


£ One-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


£ Applicable state and local licenses as required.


£ Must have valid drivers license issued by the state in which they reside and proper automobile registration.


£ Proof of insurance for personal automobile liability with limits of $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 which provide $100,000 per person injured, $300,000 total accident and $100,000 property damage.
