Cashier - Goodwill of the Olympics and Rainier Region - Kent, WA
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates cash registers and bank card machines.
Follows company cash handling policies and company procedures.
Greets customers and provides customer service.
Answers phone inquiries.
Services jewelry counter as needed.
Maintains a safe working/shopping environment for customers and employees.
Maintains a clean and well-merchandised/displayed store.
Stocks store with merchandise as directed by store management.
Other duties may be assigned.
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; and is able to speak effectively before groups of customers and/or employees.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages.
Other Skills and Abilities: Familiarity with cash registers.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
