Leading software developer that operates across multiple mobile platforms is currently looking for a PHP developer to join their highly focused agile development team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining existing PHP codebases and developing new features and products whilst working with developers from other platforms to ensure a unified set of features.

Duties & Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain new and existing PHP software
Produce well documented, readable code that complies with internal coding standards
Debugging software and fixing problems that may be reported by customers or internal teams
Manage software releases for both internal and external users / testers
Liaise with design team to implement functionality
Ensure code is fully tested both manually and through automatic systems
Attend technical meetings to discuss aspects of the product with customers and internal teams
Continue to develop and enhance your programming skills

Skills

Strong and current skills in PHP, HTML5, MySQL, CSS
Solid JavaScript, jQuery and AJAX skills
Good knowledge SQL (MySQL and SQLite)
Strong OOP and database design
Experience of writing and using HTTP APIs (JSON, XML etc)
Experience of working with LAMP based platforms
Ability to work on projects, or sections of projects autonomously
Excellent written and spoken English

Desirable

Experience of Google APIs – specifically Maps, Places, Search
Experience working with source code management (SVN, Git, etc)
Knowledge and experience working with unit testing frameworks (PHPUnit etc)
Previous experience maintaining continuous integration systems (Jenkins, Hudson, etc)
Experience with commonly used development ticketing systems (Jira, Mantis, Trac, etc)
