Person Specification – Year 2 Teaching Assistant

For this Year 2 Teaching Assistant post, you should be a reliable graduate who has a good understanding of how to work with children based on experience gained from a similar role and you will have achieved a 2:1 or above in your degree. The new Year 2 Teaching Assistant will have GCSEs of C or above in English, Maths and Science. The new Year 2 Teaching Assistant will provide a positive and enthusiastic approach to supporting children in their learning and will be seriously considering pursuing a career in teaching.

About the Year 2 Teaching Assistant role

In this Year 2 Teaching Assistant position you will be operating as a class assistant for a settled Year 2 class of around 30 pupils. You will be developing students in 1:1 tutoring and group sessions in order to boost attainment and speed up progression. Day-to-day, you will be learning the best classroom practice from an experienced Outstanding Teacher who is keen to share their expertise with you.
