For this Learning Support Assistant role you will need a welcoming personality that encourages pupils and teachers to warm to you and build great relationships. Ideally, the school need a graduate in this Learning Support Assistant role who is able to show a clear effort in gaining front line experience, you will be providing learning support for students with special education needs, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will support students either one-one or in small groups, provide support for teachers during lessons and undertake a range of more specialised tasks to support learning e.g. supporting literacy and numeracy work such as listening to reading. In this Learning Support Assistant role you will have the opportunity to work across all Key Stages and subject areas within the SEND Department, so you must be flexible in your approach.
