The Trainee Science Teacher Person Specification
This school want a Trainee Science Teacher who is genuinely passionate about all areas of Science, and who can demonstrate this with a recent Science degree of at least a 2:1! A positive character is a must; someone who is willing to devote themselves to the program for 2-years, and who is hell-bent on becoming a Science Teacher! If you have all this, and can also bring excellent communication skills, confidence, and prior experience working with children, then you tick all the boxes to secure an interview!
The Trainee Science Teacher Role
As a Trainee Science Teacher you will be working across the Key Stages, lending your weight to the Science Department as a Teaching Assistant in the first instance. Once you have acclimatised to the school and its way of working, you will start your 4-Term PGCE in conjunction with the University of Buckingham, and will progress in to taking on a part-time curriculum at the school within the Science Department! Work towards your assessments and fly through to QTS with a whole host of fantastic support around you! Sound good…?
