Material Handler - RIS/Tigers - Kent, WA

Job Duties:

• Read load slips, manifests, shipping order, or requisitions to determine items to be received, moved or distributed.


• Sort and place material or items on conveyors and pallets according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product code.


• Conveys materials and products from one designated area to another by hand or various types of material handling equipment.


• Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.


• Complies with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and housekeeping as it pertains to machines and equipment to ensure a safe environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 6 months related experience preferred.


• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.


• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers.


• Ability to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving equipment, mechanical parts, inside of freight trailers and containers and in outside weather conditions. Employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud, but within industry standards.

Shift: 7am to 430pm
