Maintenance Technician - JH Carr - Kent, WA

We are currently seeking candidates to join our team environment and support JH Carr as a Maintenance Technician. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, trouble-shooting, and the repairing of production equipment used in the shop. The Tech is also responsible for monitoring and doing basic maintenance of the production facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair production equipment, machinery, buildings and facilities in accordance with company policy and procedures.


• Reads and interprets equipment manuals and blue prints to perform required maintenance and service.


• Trouble-shoot, make repairs and adjustments to equipment and machinery to minimize downtime and maximize production time.


• Rebuild machines and overhaul troublesome components and attachments, including dismantling, inspecting, machining or replacing parts.


• Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service.


• Performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.


• Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production


• Performs other facility maintenance activities per the direction of the Plant Manager


• Assist with mandatory annual safety training related to the Lock out /Tag-out process, electrical hazards and combustible dust awareness.


• Offer new ideas to support fulfillment of department goals and procedures to Plant Manager for continuous improvement, retention of customer base, and company profitability


• Follow company procedures to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely fashion


• Follow company procedures to sustain a safe working environment, wearing all required personal protective equipment.


• Attend required safety trainings and required company meetings.


• Maintain clean work area, returning equipment and hand tools to their proper storage locations.


• Other duties/projects as assigned.
