Person Specification – Graduate Teaching Assistant
This Graduate Teaching Assistant position would suit a diligent graduate who has worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role and who has an upper second class degree at the very least. You must possess clear aspirations and the determination to train and succeed as an educator. The ideal new Graduate Teaching Assistant will have the well developed skill set of being able to express themselves clearly and diversely. The school are hoping for a graduate who is able to show an understanding of issues pupils maybe facing both academically and away from school.
About the Graduate Teaching Assistant role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the teaching and learning within a specific class that will be decided nearer the time. The Head Teacher will also be eager to offer enrolment on the School Direct program for candidates with a natural flair for teaching and the confidence to begin leading classes of their own in just 1 years time. Alongside a supportive team of staff, the new Graduate Teaching Assistant will receive specific mentorship from an Outstanding Teacher who is always keen to help and answer any questions you may have. Working with struggling pupils or those who have become stifled by the curriculum, you will help them meet their potential through smaller booster groups and 1:1 sessions.
