Teaching Assistant – Person Specification

You should be a career-minded graduate who has already spent time in a role where you worked closely with children and achieved a minimum of a 2:1 or above in your degree along with an outstanding academic record. You will provide a natural ease with new people that allows you to form strong, positive relationships with both students and staff that will assist you through your time here.

About the Teaching Assistant role

Your responsibilities will include supporting teachers and pupils of all year groups throughout the school ensuring a balanced experience at the school. You will be taking part in important, teacher-led group intervention sessions, learning the skills and experiences that will make you an ‘Outstanding’ teacher in the future whilst maximising your potential at the school. Throughout your time at the school, particularly towards the time of exams, you will be leading sessions to assist pupils who are aiming for Cambridge and Oxford and instill them with the knowledge and insight they need to gain entry to these most prestigious educational establishments.
