We are seeking an experienced, hands-on, Lead Packager to be responsible for assignments and oversight of production personnel in a busy manufacturing plant in Kent.
To qualify for this position you MUST have:
- 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, with similar duties, preferably on a packaging line
- General knowledge of production procedures and understanding of SOPs and GMPs
- Strong attention to detail, excellent leadership and organizational skills, time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills
- HS Diploma or equivalent is required
You’ll be responsible for:
- Coordinating timetables with production control and management
- Ensuring that all department personnel are assigned to appropriate production functions, production work orders are completed and that established safety and quality standards, and that GMP and SOP guidelines are followed.
- Monitoring the progress of assembly and quality to ensure resources are aligned to maximize production operations, set-up and adjust equipment controls
- Completing batch records and complete log books, verify starting materials and quantities are accurate, report hours, and recording finished materials
- Ensuring equipment is maintained and clean, containers are appropriately labeled, and assist production staff with the assembly and filling of finished goods
Physical Requirements and Environment: Physical requirements include continuous standing, reaching, grasping and handling. Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Must not be allergic to or bothered by fragrances associated with oils, soaps, candles, etc. Good hand/eye coordination in order to safely operate manufacturing equipment.
