Machine Maintenance - Blue Origin, LLC - Kent, WA

DESCRIPTION: As part of a unique and highly-skilled team, you’ll ensure all Machine Shop equipment is properly operating and running efficiently. With a specific knowledge of manual and CNC machines, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, repair and schedule repairs for mills, lathes and multi-axis machines. With minimal to no supervision, you must ensure all equipment is ready to fabricate precise space flight vehicle components.

Responsibilities

Manage all machine tool service requirements and needs

Perform and schedule factory required preventative maintenance

Maintain and repair machine tools and other equipment

Maintain all machine service records

Schedule factory repair technicians

Operate as the main point of contact with factory for service

Provide training as required for preventative maintenance to other employees

Travel as required for machine maintenance training

Safely work within an industrial environment

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required

10+ years of experience in machine maintenance

Millwright & Machine Maintenance certifications preferred

Troubleshooting and repair of conventional and CNC mills and lathes

Familiar reading electrical schematics and diagrams

Excellent communication skills

Fluent in use of precision hand tools

Familiar with use of personal computers

Self-motivated and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates

High school diploma or equivalent

U.S. citizen, permanent resident alien or otherwise able to review all export-controlled technical information

Desired

Fanuc, Haas, Mori-Seiki and Siemens controls experience

Multi-axis lathe, mill and VTL maintenance experience

Integration of accessory machine components

Machine ladder logic and PLC experience

Laser and robot maintenance experience

Machine operation experience

Hazard waste management experience

Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around flight critical hardware
