GREENACRE ACADEMY: Caretaker Facilities - Part-time


Starting Date: As soon as possible


Grade: Kent range 3– Salary: £149,52 – £16,633 pro rata


Hours: 30 hours per week 3.00 pm – 9 p.m. Monday to Friday, plus additional hours for weekend opening


We are looking for a person to join the site team at Chantry Community Academy to undertake the role of an Assistant Caretaker


The successful candidate will be a highly motivated person with a positive and proactive approach to taking care of our school.


You will need to have a proven range of site maintenance skills including general repairs, cleaning, painting and decorating. Other skills such as plumbing, DIY, including carpentry, renovations and alterations would be advantageous. In addition there are responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety, supervision of the cleaning staff, school lettings and security.


This post carries responsibilities for ensuring a clean, tidy, safe and secure environment to facilitate effective teaching of students and full use by staff and visitors


Ideally, we would like to appoint a suitable candidate who can also drive a school minibus so a D1 on your driving license as well as experience of driving minibuses would be an advantage (it will be possible to undertake an updated mini bus assessment should this be required).
