Part-time Vacancy


We are seeking to appoint a Family Liaison Officer to work with ASD pupils and their families so they can participate fully in home and school activities in order to achieve their full potential.


22.5 hours per week term time only


NJC pay scale 19 – 22 (FTE £18,560 – £20,456)


Pro rata £9,862- £10,668


Monday – Friday 8.30am – 13.00pm for 36 weeks (plus 15 days inset 09.00-17.00)


You will need to bring the following skills and experience with you:


  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Confidentiality and professionalism.

  • Substantial experience of working with special needs children and their families in an educational, social or health setting.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the parenting needs of children with ASD

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of child development and care.

Information about the school


Ripplevale School is an independent day and residential special school for boys aged from 6 to 18 who have been statemented as being on the Autistic spectrum with associated conditions. Our school is located in the village of Ripple near Deal in Kent on two sites.


We have a dedicated and committed team of teachers and support staff and we take pride in providing an appropriate school environment where our pupils can learn and develop.
